"Stay Awhile and Listen: Book I" On Sale for 99 Cents for a Limited Time
UPDATE: The sale ended on November 10. All books have returned to the list price of $9.99.
October 31, 2014. In celebration of the one-year anniversary of its debut book, DM Press is running a limited-time 99 cent sale of Stay Awhile and Listen: Book I - How Two Blizzards Unleashed Diablo and Forged a Video-Game Empire. The sale discounts the book from its list price of $9.99 to $0.99 on iTunes from Thursday, October 31, 2014, until Monday, November 10. DM Press anticipates a sale on the Kindle version of the book to kick off during the weekend of November 1.
"It's hard to believe a year has passed," said David L. Craddock, author of the Stay Awhile and Listen series. "DM Press and I wanted to do something special to celebrate the anniversary of our book. We didn't think getting it a smash cake would be appropriate or productive, so we settled for the 99-cent sale. I think readers will get more out of the price cut, personally," Craddock finished.
Written from hundreds of hours of interviews, the Stay Awhile and Listen series documents the meteoric rise of the two Blizzards and their influence on the video-game industry. Slashdot.org said the book "flows almost like a documentary film. During the narrative parts, it's easy to imagine a group of young developers hunched in front of faintly glowing screens. During the quotations, you can picture the older and wiser industry veterans sitting in front of a camera and explaining those early days with smiles on their faces."
"David Craddock's Stay Awhile and Listen masterfully retells the tale of the game development Camelot created by the founders of Blizzard Entertainment," said Richard Garriott, creator of the Ultima series of role-playing games.
Stay Awhile and Listen: Book I - How Two Blizzards Unleashed Diablo and Forged a Video-Game Empire is available now on Kindle, iBooks, Nook, and Google Play e-readers and apps.
